Description

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

3/4 cup heavy cream

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Kosher salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.

2. Add the garlic and Italian seasonings. Cook until fragrant for 1 minute.

3. Whisk in the flour to form a paste.

4. Slowly pour in the broth, whisking constantly until smooth and combined.

5. Bring to a low simmer over medium heat for about 2 minutes until thickened.

6. Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Whisk and heat until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

7. Season to taste with salt and pepper and adjust as needed.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat slowly over low heat while stirring to maintain smooth texture.
